1. Go to the API Key page on Google AI Studio : https://aistudio.google.com/app/apikey

If you see a "Build with Gemini" pop up click on "Get API Key"

2. First time you will have to validate Terms of Service.

3. Click "Continue" button 

4. Click button "Create API Key" in the middle of the screen.

5. In the "Safety Setting Reminder" popup click on button "Got it"

6. Now 2 cases you are used to work with Google and already have GCP Project, you start from 0.

For GCP users just select a project.

For starting from 0, click "Create API Key in new project"

7. You see a pop up with spin wheel during API Key creation.

8. That's done, you have your API Key on the screen. Just copy/paste the key in onleeAssistant API Key settings page.

8. You know have an API Key for Gemini and you can use it without entering credit card.

You are in the free tier of Gemini, it means you can use onleeAssistant for free.

We recommend to use Gemini 1.5 Flash which offer more request perminutes and per days limits. Check limits below. Flash offer a generous quota of 1500 request per day !!!

8. Set up billing, click the link  on the API Key page and follow information on the screen.
